If you've ever stood in a store wondering whether you're "ready" for retinol, this one's for you. When we built Moonscreen, we wanted a night stick that worked on fine lines without asking you to ease into it like a new gym routine.
Where it comes from
Bakuchiol is mainly obtained from the seeds of the babchi plant, Psoralea corylifolia, and its name comes from the plant's Sanskrit name, Bakuchi. It was first isolated from those seeds back in 1966.
It's a gentler, plant-based alternative to retinol.
What it does in Moonscreen
In Moonscreen, bakuchiol works with copper peptide, collagen and adenosine to help smooth the look of fine lines, improve firmness and help skin look plumper by morning.
If your skin is very sensitive, start with a few nights a week and build up. Patch test first, and check with your doctor if you're using prescription skincare.
Its night-shift teammates
Moonscreen also has PDRN, copper peptide and centella to help repair stressed skin, plus niacinamide and panthenol for the barrier.
