Why we put skincare in a stick

Format 3 min read

Glowscreen and Moonscreen in a quilted pouch

We kept hearing the same thing from friends: they knew which ingredients they wanted, they just didn't have the time or the patience to layer five of them every morning. Then they'd step out into a Delhi afternoon and watch half of it slide off anyway.

India doesn't have an ingredient problem. It has a format problem.

Layering and heat don't mix

Every extra layer is another thing to wait for, another bottle to carry and another formula that may or may not play nicely with the one before it. So we put the ingredients that work together into one formula, with the same base and the same pH, and made it solid.

What a stick fixes

  • There's no jar to dip your fingers into.
  • There's nothing to spill in your bag.
  • Reapplying takes one swipe, even over makeup with non-tinted Glowscreen.
  • Both sticks are stability-tested to 45°C.
A clean vanity with just the two sticks

Eight formula rounds over eight months later, we ended up with two sticks: Glowscreen for the morning and Moonscreen for the night. That's the whole shelf now.
